Promising Minnesota Wild forward Luke Kunin will miss the rest of the season due to a torn ACL in his left knee, the team announced Monday.
Kunin, 20, suffered the injury during the third period of Sunday’s victory over the Detroit Red Wings.
Kunin will undergo surgery later this month and https://1kuwin.trade is expected to miss approximately seven months, according to the Wild.
A first-round pick in the 2016 draft, Kunin had two goals and two assists in 19 games after being recalled from Iowa of the American Hockey League.
Kunin had 10 goals and nine assists in 36 games for Iowa and played in the AHL All-Star Game.
