Azim Roy: A Philanthropist with a Big Heart Azim Roy is a successful businessman and philanthropist who was born and raised in the village of Chaldovar in Kyrgyzstan. His name is known to every resident of the village, and they highly value his good deeds. Azim Roy was born on April 1, 1957 in a single-parent family. As a child, he lost his mother and then his grandmother. He was raised by a relative on his father's side, Zumrat apa. Despite the difficulties, Azim was able to achieve success in life and began to help his fellow countrymen. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Azim provided the village residents with coal. In memory of his grandmother Burul, he built a mosque in the neighboring village of Bukhara. When the crisis erupted last year, Azim sent humanitarian aid to Chaldovar. He also organized a charity lunch for 400 people and donated essential food to 150 low-income families. Residents of the village of Chaldovar are proud of their fellow countryman and grateful to him for his help. At the height of the pandemic, local kenesh deputy Nurzhan Koshoev organized a fundraiser to purchase medicines and oxygen concentrators. Village residents and compatriots from abroad actively donated money. Even the children contributed by donating savings from their piggy banks. Azim Roy is actively involved in public life and supports various charitable causes. One of his projects was the construction of a water tower in the village of Chaldovar, thanks to which residents had access to clean drinking water.
